Dr. Denise Wright, BSc, DC
Chiropractic
Dr. Denise Wright became a chiropractor because of an orange book. Halfway through a BSc, she realized that she was not cut out for a life in a lab, and medicine did not hold a lot of appeal. So, while talking to her high school guidance counselor, one brightly coloured book caught her eye amid the pamphlets in the office. It was a book about how effective chiropractic care was and it was written by two Toronto MD’s. After talking to chiropractors and their patients, chiropractic seemed to be the right fit. She finished her degree and went to Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Dr. Wright has been a chiropractor for over thirteen years and has worked in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Pillars of Health is the perfect clinic for her. She strongly believes in a team approach to health care and has been delighted to see her patients benefit.
While Dr. Wright does not have a specific focus in her practice, people of all ages and walks of life have been attracted by her gentle manner and thorough approach to their problem (includes the use of the Insight Millennium scanner). She likes the variety of being the neighbourhood chiropractor.
Dr. Wright is a member of both the provincial (NSCC) and national (CCA) organizations. She has been on the executive of the Council of the NSCC for several years, but has recently changed jobs to lead a new initiative for the organization.
Dr. Wright lives in Dartmouth with her family.
